A pregnancy is a special time for a mother to be. She may experience some usual signs of pregnancy and some unusual pregnancy symptoms too. Often, some of the symptoms she may not even recognize as a sign of pregnancy, unless it is her second or third pregnancy. Irritability or a tendency to weep at the smallest of causes is one unusual symptom of pregnancy. The other is slight dizziness or faintness and a loss of appetite.
The More Common Symptoms of Pregnancy Are:
A missed period- A missed period is the first clear indication that you could be pregnant.
Nausea and Vomiting- Nausea and vomiting or morning sickness is another early pregnancy sign. Although called morning sickness, it can occur anytime during the day, morning, evening or night.
Frequent Urination- This is also an early indicator of pregnancy. You may have the urge to pass water more often. This is because of the pressure that the growing uterus places on your urinary bladder.
A slight discharge from the vagina-There may be a white runny, mild smelling discharge from the vagina. This is a perfectly normal and usual sign of pregnancy and it means that your body is removing the harmful bacteria from your vagina, to protect you and your baby.
Heightened sense of taste and Smell- You develop a heightened sense of taste and smell. Some odors become unbearable and some foods that you may have enjoyed just a few days ago, become repulsive.
Food Cravings- You also start developing cravings for certain foods
Backaches- You may also have mild backaches as an early sign of pregnancy
Bloating- Your body may bloat, as it does when you are going to have your periods
Your feet may swell up
