Early Pregnancy- You’re Going To Be A Mother

Pregnancy is perhaps the most beautiful of things that a woman experiences in her entire life time. What wonderful news; you’re in early pregnancy. But the symptoms of pregnancy can give you a hard time.

Symptoms That Give You a Hard Time

You probably guessed you were pregnant, because of the dreadful feelings of nausea and morning sickness or because your breasts felt sore and tender and you felt that slight tingling sensation in them. Alternatively, you had a slight vaginal discharge, which was whitish in color, but not offensive smelling.

You may also be suffering mood swings One minute you may laugh and the next minute you may burst into tears. You may develop cravings for certain foods and get repulsed by others; you’ll develop a heightened sense of taste and smell. You may suffer mild backaches. And feel your body is bloated.

A Home Pregnancy Test

You should do a home pregnancy test and then go to your doctor to confirm your pregnancy.

Get Ready For a Healthy Pregnancy

It is now time to prepare for a healthy and safe pregnancy. They say, the earlier you prepare, the better it is. You must eat folic acid supplements in your diet. Eat foods rich in calcium and take multivitamins. Eat fresh green leafy vegetables, pulses and fruits.

Take enough rest and exercise regularly. Stay active, but do not do too much strenuous exercise. You can do yoga and some deep breathing relaxation exercises, so that you do not feel stressed out.

Also avoid doing drugs, drinking, or smoking; they can cause the baby untold harm.

Doctor’s visits are a must, as he may want to check you up for any abnormalities that may occur during early pregnancy

Early pregnancy may not be that easy a time for you, especially if it is your first child. However, it is also a special time and you will treasure all these memories in the future. Wish you lots of support from your partner, family and friends and a safe and healthy pregnancy.
